EOL – Technical Requirements
The system requirements for using our EHS Learning Management System (Totara/Moodle) are modest.
Please note that some of our third party learning products utilize Flash. Flash will not work on many Apple products such as iPhones or iPads. The third party training currently includes: Epic, AHA/RQI, Nova, and APEX. EHS does not produce any elearning modules that require Flash.
Other than that all you need is a solid, reliable internet connection and a computer with a modern web browser.

A PDF Reader
A PDF browser plugin will let you view PDFs in a browser window without opening a separate program. Most computers already have this plugin installed.
Download Adobe Reader at http://get.adobe.com/reader. The download includes the browser plugin. To install this plugin, follow the prompts. You will need to call IT at 423-778-8324 to help you install if you are onsite.
Browser Troubleshooting
- Check supported browser versions. Check to see if your problem is related to known issues with your browser version, see above. You can check your browser version by going to https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/. This link will let you know if your browser is up to date.
- If your browser is up to date, clear your browser’s cache. On most computers hitting the CONTROL SHIFT and DELETE keys will open up a dialog box to clear your cache. See https://clear-my-cache.com/en/windows.html
- Try a different browser and/or move to a different computer. You may find it helpful to have more than one browser installed on your computer. If you run into problems using Moodle, moving to another browser may resolve your issues. You can also try moving to a different computer to see if the problem persists. This may help to discern whether your issue was a problem with your browser or computer, or with Moodle.
